This is the renovation of the existing swimming pool on the covered terrace of the four-star hotel Catalonia Atenas<\/strong>, located at Avinguda Meridiana, 151, in Barcelona. A terrace that enjoys privileged views of the Agbar Tower and the Sagrada Familia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In view of the existing state of deterioration and in order to provide a better service to customers, the property commissioned the renovation project to ROIG to execute a small infinity pool <\/strong>that has a perimeter channel for water collection. In addition, the space has been adapted to locate the beach-solarium and a garden area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The flooring that has been laid out in the beach-solarium<\/strong> area around the pool is made of non-slip porcelain stoneware<\/strong> tiles. This material is classified C3 according to the scale of the document DB-SUA-1 (safety against the risk of falls) complying with the requirements for outdoor areas, swimming pools and showers. In addition, a filtration system has been installed for the water in the fast Silex pool.<\/p>\n

In addition, railings and\/or handrails have been provided that will guarantee a protection height of 1.10 m. and the covered terrace has been equipped with lighting that guarantees a minimum illuminance of 20 lux.<\/p>\n

Finally, an approved crane has been installed next to the pool basin to allow access for people with reduced mobility.<\/p>\n

The total working area is 227m2<\/strong> and the works have been carried out without interrupting the usual activity of the hotel.<\/p>\n
