ROIG was founded in 1985 by Ramon Roig i Serés, a businessman with long experience in the construction sector, who detected a market niche with the new expansion of the office network in the banking sector. This was the beginning of Roig Constructions and Services S.L.
At the height of the banking boom, renowned institutions like BBVA and Banc Sabadell became some of the first clients with which Roig started his business career.
The consolidation of the company in the sector came in 1992 when, amongst other construction projects, Roig reached the milestone of 200 bank offices.
With the incorporation of the second generation of Roig, the company settled new objectives to expand its project portfolio and grow in the field of new construction and rehabilitation, which would gradually gain more weight.
Roig’s historical clients such as Caixa Sabadell or Caixa Penedès, gave the opportunity to leave the Catalan territory and develope the first projects in the central area of Spain. It allowed the opening of a new branch in Madrid.
Headquartered in Barcelona, Roig’s activities are mainly carried out in Catalonia,
Madrid, the Balearic Islands and the Central Zone, also operating occasionally in the rest of Spain and Portugal.
