ROIG was the company chosen for the expansion of the existing public parking lot associated with the Nuevos Ministerios station, under the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid. The car park, on a single floor and built below ground, has 2 access ramps and 2 exit ramps for vehicles, thus allowing all movements to/from Paseo de la Castellana. Updatingand adaptingto current regulations The works that have been carried out on the 6,000 m2 surface area include the introduction of new installations, the modernization of the existing ones, the redistribution of the interior space, together with changes in the distribution through the opening of openings in the walls, the adaptation to accessibility and fire regulations and the installation of an elevator. Fast charging pointsin the centre of Madrid SABA Parkings, the company awarded the contract for the "Operation of the car park at Nuevos Ministerios station" has decided to undertake the adaptation and expansion to put into use part of the car park that is in structure, partially enabling it with the aim of covering the demand for electric car charging in this area of Madrid, through the installation of 43 fast charging points. At the same time, the parking lot currently operated by SABA has been adapted to current regulations. Before starting the expansion, ROIG's team carried out the rehabilitation of some areas of the pre-existing parking lot, such as repairing the upper wall with fiber-reinforced mortar, painting with acrylic paint, as well as some demolitions and openings necessary to carry out the final project.
