Roig was commissioned to refurbish the BBVA bank branch in its ground floor premises, located in Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona's most representative streets.

It should be noted that Roig has carried out three refurbishments in this office over the years, in 2012, 2013 and the last one in 2017, in this branch where BBVA’s private banking and personal banking services are combined.

These refurbishments were carried out in one of the most emblematic branches of BBVA bank in the city. A unique feature of the work is the false wooden ceiling in the lobby, which is protected by Barcelona’s Architectural Heritage, so all the stipulations of the City Council’s technicians were taken into account in order to preserve its attributes without altering them.

In the refurbishment carried out in 2012, Roig’s team implemented a change of use on the semi-basement floor, with the aim of incorporating BBVA’s Private Banking section in these premises. With a project adapted to the existing noble materials, the air conditioning and lighting installations were modified to adapt it to the type of rooms designed for private customer service.

In the 2013 refurbishment, Roig renovated the entrance hall, also protected by the city’s Architectural Heritage. In this intervention, work was carried out with fine woods on the missing ceiling and main staircase, landscaping in the entrance hall and advertising totems on the different floors.

The most outstanding element was the creation of a cash dispenser module cabin, designed especially for this office, using an independent metal structure to house two CINEO cash dispenser units. Another highlight of the work was the checkerboard marble flooring, which was restored and adapted to the enlarged surface area at the entrance.

In the last refurbishment, in 2017, Roig modified the use of the mezzanine floor for the location of new workstations for the new customer service needs.

Modifications were made to the installations and air conditioning to meet the new workstations and planned enclosures. The most outstanding element of this reform was the execution of the same in a period of 2 months, in the summer period, carrying out a planning very adjusted to the needs of BBVA.
