As part of our commitment to diversification, on this occasion Roig has developed a civil works project.

The project involves the construction of a wastewater treatment plant at the headquarters of Banc Sabadell, located in the Catalan town of Sant Cugat del Vallès. The treatment plant has been installed at the entrance to the bank’s corporate building, within an urban space that forms part of the architectural project, developed by Bach Arquitectes, in which Roig has already participated by carrying out the interior refurbishment of three of the spaces in the bank’s corporate headquarters: the cafeteria, the break room and the presidential dining room / terrace.

The Banc Sabadell building has a maximum occupancy of 2,500 workers and the station’s water tank has been built to have a capacity of 150,000 litres, with the aim of treating wastewater before it is sent to the public sewer. The work lasted 3 months, during which time the building was able to remain in use.

With a cistern measuring 20m2 long and 3.5m2 deep, the treatment plant was installed underground in order to minimize the visual impact of the corporate building. On the outside, Roig‘s team has installed a small installations and control hut that is interconnected underground with the treatment plant to guarantee its perfect operation.

Due to the scale of the work, it was necessary to carry out excavations in the outdoor park, as well as the removal of the trees present there, which, once the work was completed, were suitably replanted with all the guarantees.
