Extension of the CAP of Torroella de Montgrí

ROIG has won the public works tender for the expansion of the Primary Care Center (CAP) located in Torroella de Montgrí (Girona). Currently, the ROIG team has started the collaborative phase of drafting the executive project of this project designed by the architecture firm

This public works project includes the expansion of the current health facilities, which include a care area, isolation area, space for staff, health education area and an area for the provision of a medical emergency service of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

An innovative project focused on safety and energy efficiency

ROIG plans to project in the CAP of Torroella de Montgrí a new volume of ground floor and first floor in the west area of the current building that will lead to a new building, adjacent to the existing one. This implies an increase in volumetry, foundations and structure. In addition to direct effects on the façade and accesses of the current building.

In fact, the action of ROIG implies the removal of the current façade closure of the main circulation volume of the west slope in order to connect the existing building with the new extension of the building.

Commitment to the industrialized construction system

The new area of the CAP of Torroella de Montgrí will consist of an industrialized prefabricated system that will take advantage of the order and sequence of the spaces of the arcaded structure. A technology that will be used both in the area of consultations and in the area of medical emergencies.

All these works will comply with safety, facilities and energy efficiency regulations. In that sense, photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of the new volume.

LEAN methodology

For the realization of the work, ROIG will apply the Think In Lean Methodology. A dynamic already common in the company with which, in collaboration with all the agents that will participate in the development of this project, will allow them to meet all their time and quality objectives. Regular planning will be applied, with the aim of obtaining solutions before the deadline, when these may hinder the optimal progress of the works.
