25 homes in Sabadell, Barcelona

ROIG has been commissioned to carry out the construction works of the ‘El Tel·lers’ housing complex, located in the centre of the city of Sabadell (Barcelona). This development, of 25 homes, has a ground floor, four floors and penthouses, has been designed by Next Arquitectura, based on environmental sustainability criteria.

Therefore, the homes will have energy certificate A. In addition, they will be equipped with underfloor heating or gray water collection system to be treated and reused. The production of heating and hot and cold air will be carried out by aerothermal system, with its consequent reduction of energy consumption.

Structural system

The general structure of the building will be made of reinforced concrete, while the exterior cladding will be made with aluminum, giving the building its own personality and a unique design.

The roofs will be made of wood panels with insulation inside, thus guaranteeing a greater use of natural resources. The exterior will be finished with ceramic tiles for better waterproofing.

In addition, the facades of the building that face the street will have their own image and identity, resolved with ventilated façade.

Efficiency and comfort

For the interior coatings of the building, partitions, flooring and carpentry, top quality materials will be used with the aim of achieving greater durability and quality of life for future residents.

The building will be designed to reduce energy demand, both in summer and winter, thanks to the placement of blinds, ventilated facades to dissipate the heat of solar radiation and wood with thermal bridge closure and double glazing with camera, among others.

Undoubtedly, the construction of this building is a step forward in the creation of more efficient and environmentally friendly homes.
