Residence in Gavà, Barcelona

The project, by the leading company in the development of healthcare infrastructure, Healthcare Activos, involves the implementation of a new residence for the elderly for 124 residents, at 62 Pi i Margall street in Gavá (Barcelona).

The building will have a basement, first floor and two upper floors, with a total built area of 7,900 m², distributed on all floors.

The new residence will have 124 beds in 6 living units, a day center and its service spaces (kitchen, laundry, etc,…) located in the basement that the ROIG team will develop following the architectural project of BtA Arquitectes.

As for the facades, they are planned to be executed with an external thermal insulation system (SATE) of the webertherm acoustic type. As regards air conditioning, an aerothermal system will be chosen.

Adapted innovative technology

As this is a health and social care facility, an embedded IP patient-nurse system is proposed to serve each floor of the new building. It is a solution that allows to satisfy all the communication, control and security needs of the center, based on IP terminals for the reception of alarms, and integrated with the telephone exchange that will allow us to maintain a voice conversation (intercom) between the users and each one of the fixed and/or wireless terminals.
