ROIG has been the company chosen to execute the refurbishment project of the Pau Casals Foundation's House-Museum Space, located in the town of Sant Salvador (El Vendrell). The years and adverse weather conditions have made this intervention necessary.

Over the next 7 months, the ROIG team will have to adapt and update the Foundation's facilities in honour of one of the best cellists of the 20th century, over a surface area of 2,300m2. The tasks to be carried out include the refurbishment of the interior space of the house museum, the restoration of the belvedere and the remodelling of the semi-private park-garden, where benches will be installed and trees and plants will be replanted. As this is a museum, whose main objective is to conserve and disseminate the life and work of Pau Casals through the extensive artistic and documentary heritage it houses, air conditioning, interior air treatment and humidity control will be key to preserving all this material and, therefore, one of the great challenges of this project. The ROIG team is also faced with a historic space that will have to be meticulously refurbished, taking into account the materials to be used so that the historic image of the building is not altered and all its attributes are preserved. As for the façade, it will be painted with lime paint and treated against damp, as this space is very close to the sea. Delivery of the completed project is scheduled for the end of December 2021.
