Portal Nou Building

Located in Terrassa, a municipality in the province of Barcelona, Roig carried out this project for a multi-family building consisting of 11 dwellings with commercial premises.

This is a new construction composed by a ground floor and four upper floors. The flats, with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, stand out for their medium-high quality, C4 parquet flooring in all rooms, except the bathrooms, with tiled floors, and kitchen open to the dining room.

In line with its commitment to the environment, Roig implemented aerothermal systems to provide homes with maximum energy efficiency and minimum consumption. Aerothermics is a clean technology that extracts up to 77% of the energy from the ambient air free of charge. Aerothermal systems are state-of-the-art heat pumps designed to provide cooling in summer, heating in winter and hot water all year round.

In this building, the carpentry with thermal break and micro-ventilation was installed to ensure air renewal. As for the glazing, in addition to double glazing, Guardian Sun, a high-tech glass with a permanent magnetron coating that provides thermal insulation and solar control properties, allowing only 43% of solar radiation to enter, while allowing 70% of natural light to enter. A system that helps to insulate from the cold in winter and from the heat on the sunniest days of the year, without losing natural light and with consequent energy savings.
