LOCATION
ROIG continues its commitment to responsible and high quality construction, and moves forward with this residential project of eco-sustainable housing by Kronos Homes, located in the emblematic green setting of Montjuïc, Barcelona. These new phases include the construction of two new modules of 39 and 18 residential units, respectively, as well as offices, commercial premises, parking lots and storage rooms.
After the execution of Phase I, which included the construction of a 61-unit residential building, the ROIG team has taken on this ambitious collaborative project, designed by SOB ARQUITECTOS S.L.P., which as a whole reflects a firm commitment to sustainability, architectural innovation and landscape integration.
The building of this new phase will have two basement floors, a first floor and six upper floors, giving shape to a set of 57 new homes that combine functionality, aesthetics and environmental respect.
Sustainable and state-of-the-art construction
True to the sustainability criteria applied in the initial BREEAM-certifiedproject, the project will maintain the same requirements in terms of energy efficiency, water management, use of sustainable materials, indoor air quality, waste management and reduction of environmental impact.
The facades will be executed with a thermal insulation system on the exterior and finished with SATE type mortar, complemented with masonry solutions and interior insulation with metal structure, laminated plaster and mineral wool. The exterior carpentry will be aluminum with thermal bridge breakage and double glazing with air chamber, to maximize thermal and acoustic comfort.
A design that integrates with the environment
The project stands out for its unique architectural design, designed to blend in with the landscape of Montjuïc. The terraces, the green spaces and the careful volumetry of the complex create a silhouette that adapts organically to the urban fabric. Inside, the homes offer spacious and bright rooms, with large windows that enhance the entry of natural light and ensure privacy in the most intimate areas of the home.
